In a world where pageantry is often seen as a contest of beauty alone, Jewel Michaels is redefining what it means to wear the crown. At only 15 years old, Jewel is already a national symbol of empowerment, leadership, and compassion.

Born in Pakele Town Council, Adjumani District and raised partly in Kyanja, Kampala, Jewel is the proud daughter of Major General (rtd) Michael Ondoga and Mrs. Lucy Daxbacher Ondoga. As a student at Vine International Christian Academy, she excels not only in academics but also as a worship leader, guitarist, vocalist, and athlete.

Crowned Miss Teen Pearl of Africa 2024 and Miss Teen of the Universe Uganda 2024, Jewel captured international attention during the Miss Teen of the Universe 2024 pageant in India, where she finished as the 2nd Runner-Up and bagged multiple awards including Best Ramp Walk and Best Gala Dress.

But Jewel’s story isn’t about trophies and sashes—it’s about impact. She champions child education, inspiring young girls and boys to embrace knowledge, skills, and dreams beyond poverty and limitation. Her voice boldly speaks against child labor, early marriages, trafficking, and all barriers to education.

For Jewel Michaels, beauty means action. And her mission is only beginning.
